Brighton beat Chelsea 3-0 in the match that brought them together at the opening of the twenty-fifth round of the English Premier League.

Brighton's goals were scored by Japanese Kaoru Mitoma in the 27th minute, and Gambian Yankuba Minteh scored two goals in the 38th and 63rd minutes.
