The Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qassem Buhaibeh discussed Wednesday in the temporary capital of Aden with the Deputy Resident Coordinator of the United Nations in Yemen Dr. Iman al-Shanqeeti health and humanitarian situation.
The two parties discussed funding needed for the humanitarian response plan in Yemen, especially in light of declining funding.
The Minister emphasized that the core of the solutions should focus on economically assisting Yemen and strengthening the national currency, pointing out the economic war waged by the Houthi terrorist militias against the country's resources, which has deprived it of benefiting from them.
He stressed the necessity of cooperating with partners to fund the humanitarian response plan in Yemen.
For her part, the Deputy UN Resident Coordinator highlighted the efforts that will be made in this regard, affirming that the resident office is working to mobilize efforts to support Yemen in collaboration with international community partners.
