The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Maj. General Aidarous al-Zubaidi held talks with the Swiss Special Envoy to the Middle East and North Africa Wolfgang Bolhart on the latest developments in the humanitarian and political situation in Yemen and the ongoing regional and international efforts to end the war and bring peace to the country.
The conversations took place on the sidelines of al-Zubaidi's participation in the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
The discussion focused on ways to coordinate the common positions between Yemen and Switzerland at the international stages.
Al-Zubaidi sought for greater role by the Swiss government on the international stage to end the conflict in our country as a non-permanent member of the Security Council.
The meeting also touched on the need to increase the humanitarian support provided by Switzerland to Yemen to alleviate the Yemeni people's human suffering amid current economic hardships Yemen has been experiencing.
