Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, , met today with Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak, and ministers of Finance Salem bin Braik, Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Waed Badhib, and Civil Service and Insurance Dr. Abdul Nasser Al-Wali to take stock of the progress in preparations for the international ministerial meeting on Yemen to be convened in New York.
President al-Alimi was briefed by the premier on the government's preparations to take part in the ministerial meeting scheduled to be held on 20th January to support the government politically and economically, and discuss the available opportunities to bring about the desired transformations and fruitful partnership with the donor community.
Bin Mubarak acquainted President al-Alimi with the government's vision to be presented to the meeting inclusive of the government's interim and strategic goals, and the required international interventions.
Al-Alimi reaffirmed the Council's support for government participation in the upcoming international meeting to advance the key priorities of the Yemeni people and the requirements for economic recovery, and securing comprehensive institutional reforms.
