Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad al-Alimi held a meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak, and the head of the Supreme Judicial Council Mohsen Talib Abu Bakr in the presence of the central bank's governor and the ministers of Finance and Justice.
Discussions focused on the role of the judiciary in enhancing the prestige of the state, the enforcement of the rule of law, the support required for the judiciary personnel in order to fulfill their noble services in achieving equity for the oppressed, and protecting public funds.
The Leadership Council Chairman acquainted the meeting with the political and economic developments, the field, and the strategy of the Council for the next phase, in which the judiciary represents a key pivot for the events of the desired change.
President al-Alimi laid emphasis on the principle of collective responsibility, the cooperative relationship between all state authorities, and its institutions in the execution of tasks and competences assigned to them as per the Constitution, the law, and the nationally, regionally and internationally agreed reference terms for the transitional stage.
