Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Major General Sultan al-Aradah discussed Wednesday with the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Yemen Falah Al-Hajraf the latest developments in Yemen and the region regarding political, economic, and humanitarian situations across various fields.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badhib, al-Aradah praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
He discussed with Ambassador Al-Hajraf ways to enhance joint cooperation and opportunities to increase humanitarian and developmental support for Yemen to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
He expressed his deep appreciation for the Kuwaiti leadership, represented by his Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and all the people of Kuwait for their sincere brotherly positions toward Yemen and their ongoing support for their Yemeni brothers during this exceptional phase the country is currently experiencing.
He commended the pioneering and recognized humanitarian and developmental role of the brotherly State of Kuwait, which has been present in supporting the Yemeni people and its direct contributions to alleviating their suffering and enhancing stability efforts through continued interventions and large-scale projects that have been and continue to be implemented in most Yemeni governorates across various humanitarian and developmental fields.
The member of the Presidential Leadership Council also expressed his gratitude to the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development for their generous grant to finance the rehabilitation project of the Marib Gas Station, noting that financial and administrative procedures have been completed to commence the project according to reports submitted by the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Waed Badhib and the Minister of Electricity and Energy Engineer Manea bin Yameen.
He highlighted the importance of this project in maintaining the station's sustainability and efficiency to meet the needs of the population.
For his part, the Kuwaiti ambassador reaffirmed Kuwait's steadfast and supportive position towards Yemen and its people during the current crisis and in various stages and circumstances, reflecting the depth of the brotherly relations between the two countries.
He expressed the Kuwaiti government's aspiration to enhance cooperation and coordination with the Yemeni government in all fields to serve mutual interests.
