The National Population Council convened a consultative meeting with the United Nations Population Fund to discuss the general framework of the national population policy.

The meeting held in the temporary capital Aden involved government agencies and organizations concerned with population affairs.

The meeting touched on the population, policy and the policy's principles; the importance of population census and the challenges related to reproductive health, malnutrition, and its impact on population growth, among other topics..
