Yemen condemns Israeli Knesset's approval of law to execute Palestinian prisoners

The Republic of Yemen strongly condemns, in the strongest terms, the approval by what is known as the Israeli Knesset of a law stipulating the execution of Palestinian prisoners, and considers it an extremely dangerous escalation and a legislative precedent that entrenches an approach of extermination, and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and a breach of international charters and agreements, namely the relevant Geneva Conventions on the protection of prisoners.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced that his country appointed a new Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen to demonstrate its authorities' support for the internationally recognized Yemeni government and leadership.

The Foreign Minister said in a statement carried out by the Italian News Agency (ANSA) " To support the internationally recognized government in Yemen, we decided in the recent cession of the Council of Ministers to appoint an Italian ambassador to signal that we're close to the official authorities in the country, while the war, as you know, is ongoing".

Tajani added" When Iran comes to realize that it is inappropriate to continue the aggression, the Houthis will stop their attacks too".
