The Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak met today, Tuesday, with the UN Assistant Secretary-General, Assistant Administrator and Director of Regional Bureau for Arab States of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Abdallah al-Dardari.
They discussed ways to further strengthen joint cooperation and coordination between the government and the UNDP.
The talks also dealt with the ongoing efforts to support the State's institutions, the institutional reforms in Yemen and controlling corruption, bolstering the societal survival and addressing the humanitarian and economic challenges.
Dr. bin Mubarak praised the significant role played by the UNDP in supporting the Yemeni government and people amid the current tough circumstances.
The UN Assistant Secretary-General confirmed the UNDP's commitment to sustain the government's institutional reform program and provide support to Yemen through development projects aimed to improve the people's lives of citizens.
