His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) arrived today, Friday along with Council member Othman Mujalli, in Abu Dhabia, on an official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during which he is set to hold talks with his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan on the latest developments in the Yemeni national arena, bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and their promising prospects at various levels.
The Emirati Minister of Justice Abdullah al Nuaimi welcomed President al-Alimi and Mujalli at al-Bateen Executive Airport, the UAE Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed al Zaabi and Yemen's Ambassador to the UAE Fahad Al Menhali.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Sab) the Chairman of the PLC underscored the importance of this visit to the UAE, which coincides with the celebrations of the two brotherly peoples of their national holidays, local and regional changes and the efforts required to achieve security, stability and peace in Yemen and the region.
President al-Alimi highly praised the honorable brotherly positions of the brothers in the UAE led by his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan and his brothers the rulers on the side of the Yemeni people and their legitimate leadership, deeply appreciating their significant humanitarian intervention to alleviate the humanitarian crisis created by the Iranian regime backed Houthi terrorist militias.
The delegation includes Advisor to the Chairman of the PLC, Member of the Parliament Omar al-Amoudi and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya al-Zindani.
