[24/11/2024 02:40]
RIYADH-SABA
The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) held a meeting today, Sunday, presided over by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, aimed to discuss developments in the political, economic, administrative, security and military situations.

The meeting convened in person of its members Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Mujalli and via video conference Aidarous al-Zubaidi, Tariq Saleh, Abdul Rahman al-Mahrami and Faraj Al-Bahsani, while the Council member Sultan Al-Arada was absent with an excuse.

The Council made a brief review of its previous decisions and directives and the required procedures in coordination with the relevant authorities to deal with changes in the national currency exchange rates, basic commodities and the measures taken to ensure that the government will continue to deliver on its inevitable obligations and to proceed with its comprehensive reforms supported by the regional and international communities.

The review included reports on the performance of the executive authority during the recent period, a new update of economic, financial and monetary indicators and proposed recommendations to contain the repercussions of the continued suspension of oil exports, and the rise in shipping prices on living conditions as a result of the Houthi terrorist attacks supported by the Iranian regime.

The Council discussed military and security developments amid the escalation of the Houthi terrorist militias on several frontlines.

The Council applauded the high vigilance shown by the armed forces and all military formations in repelling the attacks of the Houthi terrorist militias and thwarting their repeated attempts to bring the situation back to the square of all –out war, never care about the long-standing suffering of the Yemeni people.

The PLC has warned that the Houthi militias have continued to exploit the grievances of the Palestinian people and their fair cause to achieve narrow interests, mobilize more mislead citizens to target and attack civilian objects and further aggravate the human suffering that created by the militias' coup against the national consensus in September 2014.
