The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Aidarous al-Zubaidi called for joining the national, regional and international efforts to secure the international navigation in the Red Sea, Bab El-Mandeb and the Gulf of Aden, and to put an end of the terrorism exercised by the Iranian regime backed terrorist Houthi militias in the strategic international water passageway.
As he met today, Wednesday, with the Indian Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, Maj. General al-Zubaidi stressed that it is very important for the International community to take a firm position toward the terrorist Houthi militias' escalation that threatens the international peace and security.
The talks covered a range of topics including Yemeni-Indian historic relations, ways to further promote joint cooperation in the two sectors of economy and health, support sustainable development and capacity building programs.
The Indian Ambassador confirmed his country's support for the going efforts to boost security and stability in the region, reaffirming Indian's keenness to further strengthen bilateral relation with Yemen in different areas, particularly amid current challenges the region has seen.
Khan stated that his government is willing to increase the humanitarian aid to alleviate the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people due to the continuing economic crisis as a result of the war.
