ADEN - SABA
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Maj. Gen. Aidarous al-Zubaidi held talks with the US Ambassador to Yemen Steven Fagin over the latest political and security developments in Yemen.

The two discussed – in a video conference – Houthi escalation and hostilities in international shipping routes in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden, and ways to unify efforts and coordinate local and regional stances in the face of the militia's arrogance to contain the threats of continuing terror acts on land and sea.

They also discussed enhancing the bilateral US-Yemeni security cooperation to ensure the success of efforts for deterring the terror acts of the militia, prevent the smuggling of weapons to them and bolster the IRG's efforts to find solutions for stopping the economic collapse in the country through various measures.
