An authorized official in the Yemeni government stated that His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)—Commander in- Chief-- was briefed along with a number of Council members and members of the National Defense Council on the situation in Hadramaut governorate, including the hostile military operations of the Transitional Council in recent hours, and the grave violations against innocent civilians in the governorate.

Defense Minister holds extraordinary meeting with Security Committee in Hadhramaut

Minister of Defense, the Chairman of the Supreme Security Committee Lieutenant General Mohsen al-Daeri, held an extraordinary meeting in the city of Seiyun, accompanied by the Governor of Hadhramaut, the Chairman of the Security Committee in the governorate, Mabkhout bin Madhi.

The meeting, which included official and security commanders in the governorate, discussed the repercussions of the treacherous attack that resulted in the killing of an officer and a non-commissioned officer, and the injury of another officer from the coalition forces in Seiyun.

They also reviewed the ongoing investigation by the formed committee and the efforts of military units and security agencies to apprehend the perpetrator of this heinous attack.

The Minister of Defense reiterated condemnation of the cowardly and treacherous attack targeting coalition officers, emphasizing the necessity of strengthening and intensifying security efforts to capture the perpetrator and bring them to justice for a deterrent punishment.

He affirmed that this condemned attack reflects only the barbarity of its perpetrator and has no connection to the ethics and traditions of Yemenis, especially the members of the armed forces who highly value the significant role of the brothers in the coalition supporting legitimacy, led by the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and their great sacrifices alongside the Yemeni people, for which they shed their noble blood.

The Minister of Defense and the Governor of Hadhramaut appreciated the honorable brotherly positions of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the heroic and positive roles of the coalition forces supporting the legitimate forces in our country, as well as their assistance in humanitarian and developmental efforts and reconstruction to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
