His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) sent a congratulatory cable to His Excellency Donald Trump on his winning the American presidential elections.
President al-Alimi expressed his on sincere congratulations and on behalf of the PLC's members, the Yemeni government and people to the President elect Trump on his significant victory and historic comeback, wishing him all the best in his presidential missions, more progress and prosperity for the friendly American people.
The Chairman of the PLC highly praised President Trump's supportive stances during his previous tenure on the side of Yemen, its people and political leadership's struggle for restoring the state's institutions, eliminating the Iranian regime backed terrorist Houthi militias' coup d'état.
" I'm confident that Yemeni-American bilateral cooperation is promising in the years ahead in different fields", the cable read.
President al-Alimi deeply appreciated the United States' steadfast commitment to keep on working with the UN and the international community in order to end the war, achieve the fair and comprehensive peace that is based on the peace references which are nationally, regionally and internationally agreed on, first of all the UNSC's resolution 2216.
