AMMAN-SABA
Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buhaybeh discussed today, Sunday, in Amman, Jordan, with the Director of the Polio Eradication Program in the Eastern Mediterranean Region Dr. Hamid Jafari the efforts to confront the spread of polio cases in the region, including Yemen.
Dr. Buhaybeh cited the Ministry's efforts to support immunization programs and implement five community tours contributed to make the government-held regions free of polio cases.
He noted that as long as the Houthi terrorist militias have continued to refuse to carry out community campaigns for the vaccine against polio, the danger remains.
