ADEN – SABA
Yemen Defense Minister Lit. Gen. Mohsen al-Daeri held talks with the European Union ambassadors to Yemen here today to discuss the latest developments in the country.
Talks addressed the overall situation on the fighting fronts and the continued smuggling of weapons to the terrorist Houthi militia and its targeting of navigation lines in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandeb and the repercussions on peace.
The minister confirmed that shipping security depends on supporting the armed forces to extend control over the whole national territory and to eliminate the Houthi threats to freedom of navigation, saying this is the shortest road to restoring stability to Yemen and the region.
