His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council(PLC) received today, Tuesday, Ambassador of the United States to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin.

Aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries was key focus of the talks.

The conversations covered a range of topics relating to the Yemeni situation, the needed international support to sustain the government's efforts to improve the national currency value and contain the repercussions of the cessation of oil exports and the increase of marine shipping prices due to the Iranian backed Houthi militias' terrorist attacks.

The discussions also touched upon the measures issued by the US Treasury against some national trade corporations and the means to review those measures through the legal and approved channels between the two countries.
