The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Yemen participates in 75th Session of UNHCR Executive Committee

Yemen took part today in the opening of the 75th session of the UNHCR Executive Committee.
Yemen's delegation was led by the country's representative to the United Nations Office in Geneva Ambassador Dr. Ali Mujawar.
In a keynote speech,Mujawar addressed the challenges Yemen is grappling with due to the ongoing conflicts and natural disasters that have led to the displacement of millions of Yemeni people within the country and to outside it.
He stressed the need to enhance international efforts to provide the necessary aid to the displaced and refugees, and to offer technical and material assistance to states facing influx of displacees for different causes, such as Yemen.
