Yemen participates in WHO Health emergency committee meetings

Minister of Public Health Dr. Qasem Buhaybeh virtually participated today in the meetings of the WHO's Standing Committee on Health Emergency Prevention, Preparedness and Response (“the Standing Committee”).

The WHO meetings discuss, over two days, the status of global health emergencies, and how to prepare for and respond to them in various countries.

.Buhaybeh acquainted the participants with the health situation in Yemen and the various health emergencies in light of the decline in funding for the health and humanitarian sector. He emphasized the importance of helping his ministry in response to health emergencies.
