Presidential Leadership Council Commends Government's Decisions, Considers them Starting Point to Build State Institutions Competent to Deliver on its Obligations
An official source in the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) welcomed the package of practical economic, financial and administrative decisions and measures taken by the Council of Ministers in its meeting today, Tuesday, in the temporary capital, Aden, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani, describing them as a step forward on the path of comprehensive reforms aimed at improving living conditions, enhancing the efficiency of state institutions, consolidating the principles of transparency and governance, and building an economic and administrative model capable of satisfying the aspirations of the people.

Al-Arada chairs meeting of local authority, humanitarian action partners in Marib

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), Governor of Marib governorate Sultan al-Arada chaired a plenary meeting brought together senior officials of the local authority and the representatives of a number of the UN's agencies, international organizations operate in relief and humanitarian actions and the Executive Unit for IDPs Camps Management in Marib governorate.

The session intended to discuss the humanitarian situation and the increasingly growing the crisis amid the protracted war, climate changes' effects and the deteriorated economic situation and the decline of the humanitarian action partners' interventions due to significant reduction of the donors' financial support.

Al-Arada greatly valued the significant interventions of the humanitarian action partners including the UN's agencies, international, regional and national organizations that have been very helpful, largely contributed to address the IDPs' basic needs and alleviate their suffering as well as the hosting community.

The governor highlighted the importance of taking into account the Humanitarian Response Plan launched last month by the local authority and incorporating it in the UN Humanitarian Response Plan in Yemen for 2025.

The member of the PLC asserted that the government and local authority in Marib will continue to do utmost efforts and provide every necessary support to facilitate the humanitarian actions of the UN's agencies, international, regional and national organizations.
