President al-Alimi phones PLC Member Tareq Saleh on floods in Western Coast

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi conducted Wednesday a telephone call with Member of the Council Tareq Saleh to follow up latest rainy climate developments hit Hodeida and Hajjah governorates and coastal districts of Taiz during the past hours leaving heavy losses in souls and possessions.

President al-Alimi listened to a report by Member Tareq Saleh on procedures and measures taken by the government, local authorities and the humanitarian cell of the National Resistance in the Western Coast on providing relief and support to the affected people over the heavy floods, which left dozens of victims and caused huge damage in public and private possessions, infrastructure and basic services.

Tareq Saleh made it clear that communications are continuing between local authorities, relief agencies and office of the UN envoy for providing necessary interventions to the impacted people in areas under Houthi terrorist militia's control.
President al-Alimi expressed heartfelt condolences to families of the victims and hoped quick recovery to the injured and peace return to the missing.

Swift interventions by the government institutions led by Ministry of Public Works and Roads and affiliate institutions to open roads and resuming operation of basic services were also discussed in the phone call.
