Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak witnessed today the inauguration of Aden's solar energy plant in Al-Buraiqa district in its full capacity of 120 megawatts, at UAE funding.
At the inauguration ceremony, the Prime Minister delivered a speech expressing delight at the launch of this strategic project as part of the sustainable solutions that the government is working on to solve the electricity problem. He called it one of the most important strategic renewable energy projects in Yemen and represents a major commitment by the government to protect the environment and the outcomes of climate summits, the most recent of which is the climate summit in Dubai.
The Prime Minister pointed out the keenness to strengthen the culture of renewable energy in Yemen, which began in Mokha and is now in the temporary capital, Aden, which deserves many similar strategic projects.
