The Council of Ministers approved the government's work program, guidelines and top priorities for 2026, in its meeting today, Thursday, in the temporary capital Aden, chaired by the Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani.

Minister al-Zaouri Discusses enhancing joint cooperation with the Danish Refugee Council

The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr. Mohammed al-Zaouri discussed Sunday with the Regional Director of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), Lilo Thab, the ways of joint cooperation and the programs implemented in Yemen.

Minister al-Zaouri emphasized the importance of activities related to the issues of humanitarian displacement, supporting refugees, and providing humanitarian assistance from the temporary capital Aden.

He pointed out that the Ministry is keen to provide facilities and cooperate with the organization in implementing development projects and programs and delivering assistance to the vulnerable, especially women and children.

The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor stressed the need to deposit the funding of these projects in cash in the accredited and legal banks supervised by the Central Bank of Yemen in the temporary capital Aden, in order to ensure compliance with anti-terrorism rules and the fight against money laundering.

He affirmed the importance of the organization's transfer of its administrative and financial center to the temporary capital Aden in accordance with the decisions of the internationally recognized legitimate government, and coordination with the various sectors of the Ministry during the implementation of projects according to their specializations.

For his part, the Regional Director of the Danish Refugee Council affirmed the Council's commitment to enhancing the ways of cooperation with the Ministry in the various activities that fall within its competencies in the coming period.
