The National Inquiry Commission Into Allegations of Human Rights Violations carried out a field trip to a number of villages in Al Shaqab area in Sabr Al Mawadim district of Taiz Governorate, to wrap up investigations into a number of war-related violations that occurred during the first half of the current year 2024, and to determine the human rights situation and the level of implementation of the undeclared humanitarian truce.
Commission member Judge Ishraq Al-Maqtari and the committee team heard the testimonies of more than 68 people of both genders, and met with dozens of civilian victims in the villages of Habour, Al-Aqma, Al-Awat, Al-Mahraza, Al-Qaba’, Janahmi, Shahir, and Najd Al-Marqab, in the Al-Shaqab area in the Al-Najada area.
The commission members also collected basic and supporting documents related to these incidents and evidence proving the violations and where they were committed.
