France advanced to the semi-finals of Euro 2024, currently being held in Germany, after defeating Portugal on penalties by five goals to three in the match held in the German city of Hamburg, and the original and extra halves of the match ended in a goalless draw.
Ousmane Dembélé, Youssef Fofana, Jules Koundé, Bradley Barkola, and Theo Hernandez scored in the penalty shootout for the French team, while Cristiano Ronaldo, Bernardo Silva, and Nuno Mendes scored for Portugal, and Joao Felix missed to hit the post, giving the Roosters a win by five goals to three.
With this victory, the French team set a date with the Spanish team in the semi-finals, on Tuesday, July 9.
