The National Commission for Inquiry into Allegations of Human Rights Violations held a meeting with the Minister of Defense Lt. Gen. Mohsen al-Daeri to discuss a number of issues related to the human rights situation and the role of the military institution in rights protection.
The meeting discussed a number of issues that the commission is investigating, and discussed activating the role of internal accountability in the Ministry of Defense, in addition to responding to the commission’s inquiries and questions addressed to the military agencies in Marib, Aden, Lahj, Taiz, and Hodeidah, in what guarantees the protection and safety of civilians, and freedom of movement, especially with the partial opening of a number of roads.
