The U.S. Embassy in Yemen has stated that the inspection of any vessel by the United Nations Verification and Inspection Mechanism in Yemen (UNVIM) does not mean that it is safe from U.S. sanctions, especially those ships, entities and individuals providing material support to the Houthis.

President al-Alimi praises Kuwait leadership's support to Yemeni Airlines

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi has expressed thanks and appreciation to his brother, the Emir of Kuwait Masha'al al-Ahmad al-Jaber, his Crown Prince, government and the Kuwaiti people for providing the Yemeni Airline Company with three aircrafts and two engines.

In a post in X platform, President al-Alimi said this Kuwaiti support represents important addition to the Kuwaiti honorable positions and its generous humanitarian interventions in different stages and conditions to the Yemeni people and their political leadership.

Earlier on Sunday, the Kuwaiti government informed the government of Yemen on issuing directives on accepting a previous demand made by President al-Alimi to the Emir of Kuwait on supporting air transport sector and qualifying it through the Yemeni Airline Company.

A letter from the Foreign Ministry of the State of Kuwait to Yemen's Embassy in Kuwait said that embarking on brotherly relations and the Kuwait's position supporting the brothers in Yemen, the State of Kuwait has agreed on providing the necessary support to the Republic of Yemen by providing three aircrafts and two engines.
