Deputy Governor of Taiz Dr. Abdulqawi al-Mikhlafi discussed Tuesday with the Regional Director of Mercy Corps organization Michli Migi sustainable development interventions in the governorate.
Al-Mikhlafi praised the relief and development interventions implemented by the organization in Taiz and helped alleviate humanitarian suffering, stressing necessity of coordinating the organization's future programs in accordance with the strategy made by the governorate, which included developmental and sustainable needs.
For her part, the regional director of the organization confirmed that the future interventions of the donors and the organization will be in developmental field, in addition to other relief, humanitarian and agricultural interventions.
She said that Taiz is the governorate, which has inclusive strategy for needs and work will be implemented in full coordination between the organization and the governorate after finalizing the previous projects.
