Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, the Governor of Yemen at the Islamic Development Bank, Dr. Waed Batheeb participated Monday in the meetings of the Board of Governors of the Islamic Development Bank is being held here under the theme "Proud of Our Past and Aspire for Our Future... Authenticity, Solidarity, and Prosperity".
The meeting discussed the overall activities of the bank in supporting member countries in the fields of economic and social development, including Yemen.
It also covered topics such as annual reports and future arrangements related to the role of the Islamic Development Bank in the upcoming phase, including supporting countries with low growth rates that are experiencing exceptional circumstances, including Yemen.
In his speech, Minister Batheeb emphasized the importance of these meetings in supporting development efforts in member countries, including Yemen.
He added that discussions are underway with the Islamic Development Bank on several issues related to enhancing and supporting Yemen in the upcoming phase, particularly in terms of recovery and reconstruction.
