Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaea al-Zandani highly praised the supportive stances of the European Union (EU) countries in support of the internationally recognized Yemeni government and the Yemeni people in different fields.
He voiced his comment during a phone call he received today, Thursday, from the head of the EU Mission in Yemen Gabriel Vinals.
Al-Zandani underscored the importance of the EU's support for the Yemeni government's efforts to manage the economic hardships and mitigate the humanitarian suffering.
The Foreign Minister highlighted the need for a greater role by the EU to support the good offices to achieve peace and stability in Yemen.
Al-Zandani expressed his appreciation for the invitation he received from the high representative of the EU foreign policy josep Borrel l to visit the EU headquarters in Brussels.
The head of the EU Mission reiterated the EU's support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government as well as the efforts of the UN's envoy to establish peace in Yemen.
