The Head of Customs Authority Abdulhakeem al-Qubati discussed Wednesday here with the Regional Director of UN Maritime Security Program Joseph B. Sernia aspects of cooperation and coordination in field of training and studies provided by the Program to support customs.
Al-Qubati praised the UN support provided to customs authority and its contribution in developing and enhancing capabilities and skills of the cadre, especially in combating smuggling.
For his part, the regional director of the program confirmed continuous support to customs authority in field of capacity building and infrastructure and providing a number of modern sets to help efforts of combating smuggling.
