Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Vienna, Austria, Haitham Shojaa al-Din conferred today, Friday, with the Secretary General of the Austrian Foreign Ministry Nicolas Marchick over bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The conversations touched upon the latest developments in Yemen, most notable the military escalation by the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden by Iran-allied terrorist Houthi militias on the commercial ships and international shipping lanes.
Shojaa al-Din highly appreciated Austria's significant contribution to the humanitarian actions in Yemen.
The Austrian official expressed concerns about the ongoing threats to maritime navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
