The Yemeni Ambassador to Algeria Ali Muhammad al-Yazidi held discussions with the Director General of Protocol at the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mukhtar Amin Khalif on the Algerian-Yemeni relations and facilitating the return of four Yemeni citizens who entered Algerian territory illegally, and a host of other consular issues.
They also discussed the Houthi escalatied hostilities in Yemen and attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, and the repercussions of that on the Yemeni economy and on regional security.
