Yemen's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak conducted a phone conversation with the GCC Secretary-General Jassim Al-Budaiwi today during which the WGCC official renewed his good wishes of a successful tenure for bin Mubarak in leading the Yemeni government and emphasized the Gulf Cooperation Council's stand by the Yemeni government as it exercises duties and responsibilities in serving the Yemeni people and alleviating their suffering.

They discussed the strategic partnership between Yemen and the Gulf Cooperation Council, and reinvigorating cooperation in various fields, and the Gulf political, economic and development support to Yemen in a way that fits with the pressing priorities identified by the government for the present stage.

Bin Mubarak hailed the sincere GCC positions on the Yemeni people's side in various conditions.

He hailed the GCC Ministerial Council's voiced support for Yemen, especially the calls to take a stern stance against the Houthi practices that collide with the efforts of the UN and the region's countries to bring peace.
