Al-Eryani: It is time for international community to substantially support the government
[03/03/2024 02:56]
RIYADH-SABA
Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammer al-Eryani stressed that it is high time for the international community to mobilize the urgently needed support for the internationally recognized Yemeni government so that it can do its job effectively in different areas.

" A robust international action has become imperative to eliminate Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militias' threats to the maritime navigation and international shipping lanes", said Muammer.

He issued his appeal for a substantial international support for the Yemeni government during his talks today, Sunday, with the French Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Katherine Corm Kammoun.

Al-Eryani cited the sinking of the cargo ship Rubymar due to Houthi militias' attacks to underscore the pressing need to mobilize the needed international support for the Yemeni government to empower it doing its job effectively.

He said " The best and most effective way to secure the international shipping lanes and neutralize the terrorist Houthi militias' threats to maritime navigation is to enable the official Yemeni government to enforce its control over all Yemeni territories and waters".

The Minister applauded the significant efforts have been made by Ambassador Kammoun to further boost Yemeni-French cooperation, greatly appreciating France's supportive stance in support the internationally recognized government.

The French Ambassador has confirmed Paris's continuing support for the Yemeni official government in different fields.
