President al-Alimi discusses with NATO Assistant Secretary General partnership in counter-terrorism

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi received Sunday Assistant Secretary General of the NATO Boris Ruge on the sidelines of Munich Security Conference.

The two parties discussed latest developments in Yemen and in the region and repercussions of Houthi terrorist militia's attacks on international security and peace.

President al-Alimi briefed the international official on the latest national developments and initiatives of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government for realizing peace and stability and for alleviating suffering of Yemeni people with support from the Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

He spoke about efforts of the council and the government- supported by regional alleys and international partners- in combating terrorism and needed support to secure ports of coastal cities and curb the threats of Houthi militia and their affiliated terrorist organizations.

President al-Alimi expressed aspirations for strategic partnership with NATO Alliance and with different regional and international entities and coalitions to enhance security, peace and stability in the region.
