Badhib discusses with UNFPA and WFP their humanitarian interventions

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Waed Badib discussed with the representative of the United Nations Population Fund in Yemen Inshrah Ahmed a number of issues related to the Fund’s interventions in the fields of rehabilitating hospitals, supporting reproductive health centers, and providing incubators in remote districts and areas.

The meeting touched on the contents of the programs of the two national strategies for reproductive health and midwives, and the extension of the Fund’s country document for the year 2023-2025.

Badhib affirmed that the Ministry was keen to expand the circle of cooperation and coordination with the Fund to include all sectors and entities to contribute to determining the urgent priorities for the next stage... praising the humanitarian role played by the Fund, which included a number of sectors and groups affected by the crisis.

In another meeting, the Minister of Planning discussed with a Yemen WFP official a number of issues related to meeting the fuel needs of public service sectors.

The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation praised the joint coordination efforts between the government and the program to continue enhancing support for local institutions and entities in improving performance and providing services to citizens, to alleviate their suffering as a result of the current circumstances and meet the required needs of sustainable projects.
