Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik has ordered that the implementation of plans to develop the telecommunications sector and activate the performance of the Ministry’s institutions to be completed within the ambitious strategy to achieve a qualitative leap in this vital and important sector.
Chairing a virtual meeting for the leadership of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and its affiliated institutions, the Prime Minister praised the great efforts made by the late Minister Dr. Najeeb Al-Awj in institutional building of the Ministry, activating its operation, and addressing the conditions of its affiliated institutions.
He expressed confidence that Dr. Waed Badhib, who is in charge of serving as Minister of Communications, in addition to his duties as Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, will continue to supervise the continued implementation of plans to improve the institutional and administrative performance of the Ministry and its affiliated institutions.
The Prime Minister was briefed by the leadership of the Ministry of Communications and its affiliated institutions on reports on the progress of work and the level of achievement during the past period and the projects being implemented in the field of infrastructure and institutions and raising the performance level of staff, in addition to plans to encourage investment in the communications sector.
