Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasim Buhaybeh formally opened a training center for the National Immunization Program here today as the center's premises has been restored and equipped, in cooperation with the World Health Organization and with funding from the Gavi vaccine alliance, at a cost amounting to $49,000.
Minister Buhaybeh surveyed the center’s equipment, including audio, display screens that are powered by solar energy, and other equipment for the training halls with an accommodation capacity to fit in fifty trainees.
The Minister stressed the importance of building qualitative infrastructure for the various health sector facilities, projects which the Ministry of Health is working on, with the support of its partners, which leads to the health sector recovering from the effects of the destruction it suffered as a result of the war. He stressed the need to benefit from the center in accommodating all training activities for the health staff.
