Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammer al-Eryani highly praised significant efforts made by Saudi Program for Developing and Reconstructing Yemen (SPDRY) to improve basic services in the governorate of Socotra archipelagos.
His remark came during his visit today, Monday, to the project of the electricity in the city of Hodaibo, the capital city of the governorate.
The electricity generate station consists of three major generators, transformers and 15 diesel reservoirs with total capacity up to 1.5 million liters.
The electricity generate station's capacity is 3.75 MGW, set to work for 24 hours.
He toured the project's components accompanied by the Commander of the 808 Duty Troops in Brigadier General Munif al-Matiri.
They also paid a visit to the project of the Water Project which provides the city with the drinking water supplies.
The two projects established by the SPDRY.
" These significant projects exemplified the substantial support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Yemeni people all over Yemeni regions through different stages", said al-Eryani.
