Aden refineries reiterates asphalt production unit

Aden Refineries Company has resumed asphalt production by operating its production unit after a hiatus for more than eight years.

The Executive Director of the company Eng. Ahmed Saeed told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the resumption of the unit’s work came as part of the efforts made to restore the activity of the refinery cover the needs of the local market for oil derivatives and supplying the national economy

Saeed added that the asphalt production unit produces about one hundred thousand tons per year and this quantity is sufficient to cover the asphalt needs of all projects.

Operating the asphalt production unit will save the state's budget millions of dollars used to go for importing asphalt.
