Al-Sharjabi discusses with German official support to Yemen institutions

Minister of Water and Environment Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi discussed Tuesday with the Officer of Multi-Party Policies in German Cooperation and Development Ministry Derk Mier cooperation in water and environment sectors

The two parties discussed support to Yemen's institutions to adapt with climate's changes and weakness of water and food security and power shortage.

In the meeting held here on the sidelines of his participation in Climate Conference COP28, al-Sharjabi reviewed situations of water in Yemen currently and the ministry's technical and human capabilities of the ministry and needed interventions in this field.

He stressed importance of coordination and cooperation to transfer from emergency programs into projects of sustainable development.

For his part, the German official praised cooperation between the two parties, confirming importance of topics under discussions with Yemen's donors.
