Planning Minister seeks British support for humanitarian, development programs

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Wa'id Badhib held discussions today, Tuesday, here with the Head of the Arabian Peninsula and Iraq Department at the British Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office Ivan Parkes.

The conversations covered topics relating to Yemeni-British bilateral relations, British contribution to the humanitarian and developments actions in Yemen, the Yemeni government's efforts to manage the economic hardships and establish pace and stability.

Dr. Badhib praised the key role of the UK in supporting the Yemeni people in different spheres for decades, highlighting Yemen's need for further British assistance to sustain the Yemeni government's efforts to handle the humanitarian and development challenges amid current tough circumstances.

The British official stated that his government will continue to contribute to the international efforts to relieve the humanitarian suffering and end the conflict in Yemen.
