The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) headed by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, held a joint meeting today, Monday, with the National Defense Council, (NDC) in the presence of all its members: Sultan al-Arada, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem al-Khanbashi.

Minister of Finance, Dutch Ambassador discuss economic developments and implementation of reforms

Minister of Finance, Salem Bin Breik, discussed with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Yemen, Jeannette Seppen, the latest developments in the economic and financial situation, and the level of implementation of comprehensive government reforms to contribute to achieving stability and economic improvement, as well as enhancing aspects of cooperation and joint coordination in various fields between Yemen and the Netherlands.

The meeting also touched on the extent to which the Presidential Leadership Council and the government are keen to deal positively with regional, and international efforts, particularly the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve comprehensive and lasting peace and stop the economic war of the terrorist Houthi coup militia, as well as the importance of foreign supporting in order to contribute to alleviating humanitarian suffering and reducing further economic deterioration as a result of the continuation of the war, and also continuing to support the Ministry of Finance and its affiliated departments in the technical aspects and capacity building.

The Minister of Finance reviewed the nature of the economic and financial conditions in particular and the overall conditions in the country in general, and the efforts to implement comprehensive government reforms in the economic, financial, monetary and administrative fields with the support of brotherly and friendly countries and donors to address the general conditions, especially the economic and service conditions, strengthen the state’s resources, sustain public finances and improve conditions..
