The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. The two parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of maritime security, pollution control and enhancing the Authority’s technical capacities.

Brig. Tariq Saleh confers with German, Dutch Ambassadors over peace efforts

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Brigadier General Tariq Saleh held discussions today, Monday, with the two Ambassadors of Germany Hubert Jager and the Netherlands Jennette Seppen and a representative of the European Union Mission in Yemen over the developments of the situations in Yemen and Gaza Strip.

He detailed the European diplomats on the latest developments about the ongoing efforts of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to push the peace process.

He blamed the terrorist Houthi militias for blocking the peace efforts, prolonging the Yemeni peoples' suffering.

Brig. Tariq cited the efforts which were exerted to alleviate the suffering of the population of the Taiz governorate which has been chafed under the yoke of the Houthis' blockade for more than 8 years.

Saleh noted that the Presidential Leadership Council and the government have been working on handling the disastrous consequences of the Houthi militias' coup, citing the economic and administrative reforms and improving basic services, reinvigorating the state's institutions.

Brig. Tariq reiterated the commitment of the Presidential Council to establish the fair and inclusive peace, noting that restoring the state's institutions is irreversible objective.

The member of the Presidential Leadership Council renewed Yemen's call for stopping the Israeli aggressive war on Gaza Strip, delivering humanitarian aids to the population of Gaza.

The German and Dutch Ambassadors and the EU's representative reiterated their support for the Presidential Council and the Yemeni government and the UN-led efforts to reach an inclusive political settlement in Yemen.
