Minister of Industry and Trade Mohammad al-Ashwal discussed Thursday here with Korean Ambassador to Yemen Do Bong-Kae improving economic and commercial relations between the two countries.
The meeting touched upon domains related to enhancing commercial exchange, which its level reached in the past USD 1.7 billion a year and reduced over Houthi militia's war on the state.
Minister al-Ashwal praised positions of the Korean friends in supporting government's efforts in economic and development fields, reviewing mechanisms of encouraging private sector to improve commercial balance with Korea.
He called upon Korean companies to visit Yemen and exploring investment opportunities, especially in field of energy.
For his part, the Korean diplomat confirmed his country's support to the Presidential Leadership Council, government and efforts of realizing peace in the country, as well as improving economic and commercial ties between the two countries.
He touched upon Korean companies' investment in Balhaf Establishment and their willing to invest in Yemen's ports, especially in the Transitional Capital of Aden.
