'MASAN' Removes 2,500 Houthis-Laid Landmines in 10 Days

President al-Alimi returns to the interim capital Aden

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, came back to the temporary capital Aden after his visit to the governorate of al-Mahra where led the government's efforts to manage the consequences of the tropical cyclone "Tej".

His Excellency had been keen to be with the fellows during the tough times to coordinate the relief interventions, mobilize national, regional and international efforts and to enhance the local authorities' capacities in the eastern governorates to manage the crises related to the repeated climate changes' effects.

The President personally paid inspection visits to the regions which badly affected by the heavy rainfalls and floods where got first-hand information about the damages and closely followed-up the relief and rescue actions.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council reiterated his praise to the local authorities' efforts in the governorates of Socotra, al-Mahra and Hadramout to mitigate the effects of the cyclone effects and reinstate the basic services despite the economic hardship which further worsen by the terrorist attacks of Iran-backed Houthi militias on the oil facilities and the oil exports harbors in the eastern governorates.

His Excellency also deeply appreciated the swift response by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to relieve the affected people and to assess the damages and repair the infrastructure and reinstate the basic services.
