Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Brigadier Tariq Saleh put emphasis on the Russian significant role as a permanent member of the International Security Council in sustaining the efforts to achieve the fair, inclusive and permanent peace in Yemen.

His comments came during his meeting today, Thursday, with the Acting-Russian Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Yevegini Kordov which intended to discuss the Yemeni-Russian historic relations, aspects of cooperation in different fields and the latest developments in Yemen and Palestine.

The Russian diplomat confirmed Moscow's support for the internationally recognized Yemeni government and the ongoing efforts to achieve a comprehensive political settlement in accordance with the terms of the peace references which regionally and internationally agreed on.
