Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi received Wednesday UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg.
Grunberg briefed President al-Alimi on his latest recent communications on local, regional and international levels and efforts for renewing the truce and resumption of an inclusive political process under the UN sponsorship.
President al-Alimi made the UN envoy in the picture of Houthi militia's violations to rights and freedoms and the militia's military escalation in different warfronts, including those cross-border attacks.
He confirmed commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to support UN envoy's efforts on the bases of the agreed upon references.
He also confirmed importance of pressure on Houthi militia to make the interests of Yemeni people above interests of its leaders and their supporters and to interact positively with efforts of renewing the truce.
